Media Informatics comprises principles of information technology with specific application areas of digital media such as multimedia technology and computer graphics, as well as communication networks and operating systems.
The online study programme Media Informatics is offered according to the internationally recognised consecutive study model with the degrees Bachelor of Science (after a standard period of study of 6 semesters) and Master of Science (after an additional standard period of study of 4 semesters).
Study process
80% of the study programme take place online – via the internet. Approximately 20% is allotted for face-to-face meetings, for example examinations, labs, and exercises. These take place on the weekends (Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday).
Therefore, it is possible to arrange a continuous learning process which improves the personal conditions for your professional success, notwithstanding your job, child-rearing, limited mobility, and many other commitments.
