T&C: General information regarding the online service
On this page you will find our Terms and Conditions, which apply to all online courses, further training programmes and services on our learning platform.
We place great importance on clear, understandable course terms and conditions – for our students as well as for companies and educational partners. With these terms and conditions, we create the basis for a fair and reliable collaboration.
1. Technical Requirements
The use of online services requires certain technical prerequisites to be provided by the participant. All online courses run on standard operating systems (Windows, iOS, Linux) and browser types (Chrome, Firefox, Safari). For individual courses, the participant may need to have additional standard software (Office, apps), hardware (digital camera, smartphone) or web services (Facebook, wikis, Google). Depending on the computer's configuration, the pop-up blocker may need to be deactivated for some applications and the Adobe Flash plug-in must be installed on the computer or the Adobe Flash plug-in must permit this local content. All content should run without Flash support, but occasional issues may occur, particularly on iOS.

Supplementary operating systems, tablets and smartphones
In principle, all operating systems (Android, Linux, iOS), browsers (Opera, Safari) and also mobile devices (tablets, smartphones) are supported by the core systems, although full functionality cannot always be guaranteed.
Since the provider has no influence on the technical conditions of the provider chosen by the participant and on the internet itself, she assumes no liability for the accessibility of her online service via the internet access provider chosen by the participant.
2. General obligations
Use of course materials and copyright provisions
The contents of the online courses (text, image, audio, software, etc.) are protected by copyright and are intended solely for private, study-related use by the participant who has been granted authorisation for the online use of the respective course within the scope of the online offering. In particular, access data and passwords must not be passed on to third parties.
The participant undertakes not to disclose his/her password to any third party. The participant is obliged to pay fees for services used by third parties by means of the participant's access data, unless the participant can prove that he/she is not responsible for this.
If the participant discovers that third-party offers are being used unlawfully via their login details, the participant is obliged to inform the provider immediately of the unauthorised use. Upon becoming aware of any potential misuse of the passwords, the provider is entitled to take all necessary measures, in particular to block access to the learning space.
The components of the programme and the content may not be altered unless this is expressly permitted. A great deal of content, especially the videos, is subject to open licences, e.g. CC BY, which are labelled accordingly. The aim is always for all content to be freely accessible and authorised for sharing and remixing. Unfortunately, however, this is not always possible.
Redistribution and/or use for public communication (such as making available to the public or public performances) in any form, including in part, is not permitted unless the licence allows it. In principle, any copyright protection exists regardless of the form (tangible or intangible) of the learning object provided.
Code of conduct, liability and use of interactive features
The system will also partially enable the creation of one's own homepage/profile or participation in chats, web conferences and forums. If these options are offered, the following must be observed: There is no legal entitlement to such services; they can therefore be extended, restricted or discontinued at any time. The homepage/profile serves for the personal introduction of the user and is to be updated regularly. Chats and forums serve for professional discussion and the exchange of information. Own contributions must be marked with name and date. Copyright regulations must be complied with.
When participating in these online services, it must also be noted that any dissemination of information and references to such information (e.g. links) via these services and the provided infrastructure is prohibited if
- whereby the reputation of the providers, their member groups or individual members is damaged in any way whatsoever.
- whereby radical ideas or calls to racial hatred are disseminated or reference is made in any way whatsoever to corresponding content.
Attention is drawn to the relevant criminal law provisions. - pornographic depictions or information with misogynistic or misandrist content are opened, published or referred to in any way.
- the proposed applications of the system are used for commercial purposes.
- advertising for people, services or things is published.
The right to inspect, reject and block is reserved for individual cases.
A breach of these regulations will result in the deletion of the content and, in the event of misuse, will lead to the blocking of access to the learning space system. The user shall be held fully liable for unlawful or factually incorrect material. Such material may be unlawful, inter alia, if it has been uploaded in violation of copyright regulations, competition law provisions, the right to one's own image or data protection criteria.
The course is subject to regular anonymous evaluation in order to continuously improve the quality of the provision.
Express reference is made to the terms of use of the system's software manufacturer. These can be found within the system.
3. Liability
Downloading or otherwise obtaining content, including software, via the learning space system is at your own risk. No liability is accepted for damage to the participant's computer system or other technical devices used for access, for the loss of data, or for any other damage resulting from downloading or other activities in connection with the learning space system, unless the liability is based on an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty for which the provider is responsible. The participant is solely responsible for creating backup copies of the data they store in the learning space system.
It is pointed out that obvious defects which limit the usability of the services provided by the provider must be reported immediately after discovery.
If the participant fails to give this notice, they cannot subsequently claim that the services were not properly offered to them, and in particular cannot demand a reduction of the fee. No responsibility is accepted for the content of external links included in study courses. No liability is accepted for material damage in connection with on-site phases and examinations, unless the liability is based on an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty for which the provider is responsible.
