Tourism 4.0 in Schleswig-Holstein

The digital transformation presents tourism businesses in Schleswig-Holstein with a wide range of challenges. They need to be visible and bookable across a wide variety of platforms, manage ever-growing volumes of data, and satisfy their customers' affinity for digital technology with new products and services. Businesses that fail to embrace this development will find it harder to position themselves on the market in the future. 

Project goal

In the Tourism 4.0 project, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Schleswig-Holstein receive the necessary knowledge and inspiration to shape digital change within their own business processes and products. The training provision addresses topics such as positioning oneself within the platform economy, the development of new products and services, social media marketing, digital guest cards, and much more. These topics are further refined as part of an assessment of needs, incorporating input from SMEs, associations, and clusters. This training provision empowers SMEs in one of the state's core sectors to develop further on a sustainable basis. 

Target audience

The offers are initially aimed at employees in small and medium-sized enterprises with a place of business in Schleswig-Holstein.
