Cyber Security training Schleswig-Holstein: Security for the digital future

The project QualiCS – Cyber Security Qualification Initiative develops a demand-driven and future-oriented training provision in the field of Cyber Security training Schleswig-Holstein. With advancing digitalisation – particularly in the life sciences sector – the demand for IT security and data privacy is rising rapidly. Companies are increasingly faced with the challenge of protecting digital processes, products and systems against cyber attacks.

QualiCS responds to this need with a modular further training concept. It is aimed specifically at Employees of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in Schleswig-Holstein, which operate in the life science sector. The Cyber Security training provides practical knowledge as well as methodological, technical and strategic skills in dealing with digital security requirements.

A central feature of the project is active co-creation by companies from the sector. Together with the project partners, a flexible Online training programmes developed, which is based on the real-life challenges of everyday work and is tested in practice. In addition to general IT security topics, advanced modules also cover subjects such as product security and the strategic embedding of security concepts.

The project QualiCS was launched in January 2017. The programme was developed over a period of 18 months and then extensively tested during a six-month trial phase.
